Forthcoming Road Closures

Shipton Parish Council has been advised of the following Road closure by GCC Highways Department:

What: Temporary road closure for new water connection works.

Where:  The lane that runs from Syreford Road to North Farm, from outside the property known as ‘The Rise’ to outside of the property known as ‘Boldmere’ for a distance of approximately 37 metres.

When: from 18th March 2026 until 20th March 2026 only or until the works have been completed.

Alternative Route – as signed on site. Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road, and emergency access will be maintained.

Shipton Parish Council has been advised of the following Road closures by GCC Highways Department:

What: Temporary Traffic Order to close the road for essential Ash Dieback tree work.

Where: A436 – Seven Springs to A40 Jct (see overleaf for details of the exact location)

When: 23rd Feb – 6th Mar 2026 inclusive (excluding weekends) from 09.30 to 15.30 daily

During this period, there will be NO THROUGH ACCESS from Seven Springs junction to A40 junction via A436.

Essential Ash Dieback work is to be completed in several areas between these two locations.

A rolling closure will be in operation.

PLEASE NOTE: Craig Church from GCC Highways has confirmed that the A40 into Cheltenham should be open by this date.
