VILLAGE GREEN
The Village Green is owned and operated by The Shipton Parish Council and is identified on OS maps as The Rise.
It is a small piece of unfenced natural land which Villagers have rights to access and enjoy day and night.
Please note that the right of access is on foot, unencumbered by equipment such as barbecues, tents or other potentially dangerous paraphernalia. No fires are to be lit upon The Green
It is acceptable to bring deck chairs and picnic blankets, etc: but please leave it as you would like to find it, (Take your litter home ! )
If you wish to hold some type of event upon the Green, which requires paraphernalia such as tents, play equipment, music systems etc: you must apply to The Parish Council for written permission.
Our insurance prohibits members of the public climbing into the trees, or attaching swings etc to the branches.
